Email Bulletin

Getting all parents to download the app and enable notifications can be a challenge. To ensure important updates reach everyone, you can now send bulletins via email in addition to displaying them in the app and sending push notifications. We recommend using this feature for urgent or high-priority messages while continuing to encourage app adoption for real-time updates.

Why is it only available on team or class bulletins?

We’ve heard a lot of feedback to improve communication functionality on the platform. Specifically, that parents who have athletes in your program need a secondary way to be notified outside of push notifications.

The team and class bulletin are connected to families that are currently enrolled in your program, where the gym-wide bulletin is everyone in the system; including people who are not actively enrolled.

To bring this functionality to your gym as quickly as possible, we added this feature for transactional emails on teams and classes!

Why are transactional emails first?

A transactional email is defined as essential one-to-one messages related to a specific action, where marketing emails are more broad and promote the business.

The FTC enforces email marketing laws to protect consumers from spam and privacy violations. That means businesses must follow key rules—like including an easy way for people to unsubscribe!

How to Send Bulletin as an Email

1. Go to the bulletin and create a new bulletin
2. Once you have filled out all the information, select the check box to "Send Email on Publish"
   1. The system will ask you to acknowledge I understand that if I send this email I am agreeing this is transactional information and not marketing related. This is temporary while we are finishing the marketing email feature.
3. Hit publish

Sending an email on publish is also available when copying a bulletin. Please refer to our Copy Bulletin article for more information.
