Delete Messages

Admin users can delete messages in threads as they see fit. As a general rule of thumb, we do not recommend deleting messages as it can not be recovered. This might be:

• Something inappropriate was said
• User messaged confidential payment information like a card number

Messages will be gone upon refresh once it is deleted if someone is viewing the chat at the same time.

How to delete a message

1. From the Admin Dashboard, find the message that you want to be removed.
2. click on the message to get the options menu to appear
   1. Delete for Chat: The non-admin members of the chat will not be able to see this message, it will stay with a strikethrough for admin.
   2. Delete for Everyone: The chat will be deleted for everyone, including admins. No record of the message will be there. For confidential information like a credit card I would recommend this to stay compliant.
