Staff App: Activity Center, Notifications & Class Tasks
The Staff App now includes an Activity Center where staff can view important notifications and manage tasks related to the classes they teach.
The Activity Center helps teachers stay up to date on changes to their class roster and gives them the ability to manage certain enrollment actions directly from the Staff App.
Activity Center
Staff can access the Activity Center by selecting the bell icon in the Staff App.
The Activity Center includes two tabs:
- Notifications – View updates and changes related to classes the staff member is assigned to as a teacher.
- Tasks – Manage enrollment and roster tasks that require action.
Notifications
Staff will receive notifications when changes are made to a class they are assigned to as a teacher.
Teachers can be notified when:
- A new enrollment is added
- An enrollment is canceled
- An athlete is added to the waitlist
- A trial is added
- A drop-in is added
- A make-up is added
- A class is canceled
- A class is uncanceled
These notifications help teachers stay informed about changes to their class without needing to regularly check the class roster.
Tasks
Teachers can manage certain class roster actions directly from the Tasks tab in the Activity Center.
Depending on their permissions, teachers can:
- Approve enrollment requests
- Decline enrollment requests
- Approve or decline one-time enrollment requests
- Enroll athletes from the waitlist
- Drop enrolled athletes
These actions can be completed directly from the Staff App, allowing teachers to manage their class roster without needing access to the admin platform.
Staff will also get a task when a document requires a signature.
Enabling Class Task Permissions
Before staff can access and manage class tasks, permissions must be enabled in two places:
Step 1: Enable the Permission on the Class
Go to the class settings and open the Class Requirements page. Set "Staff App Enrollments" to "Teachers can approve in app"

Step 2: Update Staff Role Permissions
The staff member's role must have the appropriate Staff App permissions.
Go to:
Settings > Staff > Staff Roles
You can either edit an existing staff role or create a new role specifically for staff who should have access to these permissions.
- Open the staff role you want to update.
- Select Staff App.
- Check the boxes for the permissions you want the role to have.
- Save your changes.

Important
Updating a staff role will change the permissions for all staff members assigned to that role.
If only certain staff members should have class management permissions, consider creating a separate staff role for those team members.
Once the appropriate class and staff permissions are enabled, teachers will be able to access their available class tasks from the Activity Center in the Staff App.
