Check-in Kiosk

The Check-In Kiosk allows families and students to check themselves in when they arrive for class, creating a fast check-in experience. This is ideal for gyms and studios that want to streamline attendance and reduce front-desk workload.


What is Kiosk Mode?

Kiosk Mode turns the Staff App into a dedicated check-in station. When enabled, the device can be placed at the front desk or entrance so students or parents can quickly mark themselves present for class without staff assistance.


Enable Kiosk Mode for Staff Roles

Before a staff member can access Kiosk Mode, their role must be given permission.

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Staff
  3. Open the role you want to allow (ex: Front Desk)
  4. Check the box labeled “Kiosk Mode”
  5. Click Save

Any staff member with this role will now see the option to enter Kiosk Mode.


How to Put the Device in Kiosk Mode

Once the role permission is enabled:

  1. Open the Staff App
  2. Go to the Home page
  3. Tap Kiosk Mode
  4. The app will switch into the Check-In Kiosk view

Your device is now ready for self-check-in.


Using the Check-In Kiosk

When in Kiosk Mode, families and students can:

  1. Search for a phone number on the family account
  2. Select the student
  3. Tap to check in for their scheduled class

Attendance is updated in real time and visible to staff.


Exiting Kiosk Mode

There is a back button in the upper left corner.


Best Practices

  • Use a tablet or touchscreen device for the best experience
  • Place the kiosk near the front entrance or front desk
  • Use a stand or mount to keep the device visible and accessible
  • Assign Kiosk Mode only to roles that should have access
