Skill Tracking

How to Set Up Skill Tracking

Skill Tracking allows you to organize and assess athlete progress in your classes, events and on teams. We recommend creating one skill track per program. For example, you may have separate skill tracks for Boys Gymnastics, Girls Gymnastics, and Cheerleading.

Create a Skill Track

Follow the steps below to set up Skill Tracking in your Full Out admin dashboard.

  1. Go to the Class Management tab.
  2. Select Skill Tracking.
  3. Click the "+ Skill Track" button.

    In the pop-up window:

    • Name your skill track (e.g., Girls Gymnastics).
    • Add an optional description.
    • Choose a star rating scale. You will use this to rate each skill.

Add Events

  1. After creating the skill track, you’ll add events (categories of skills).
  2. Examples of events include: Floor, Beam, Vault, Bars.

Create Levels

  1. Once your events are set, add levels (progression stages).

    For each level:

    • Select which events are included.
    • Add the skills required for that level under each event.
    • Repeat until all events have skills assigned.
  2. Use drag-and-drop to reorder levels from least advanced to most advanced.

Connect Skill Tracks to Classes

  1. Go to the Class where you’d like to track skills.
  2. Open the Skill Tracking tab.
  3. Click Edit and connect the skill tree and level to the class.

5. Start Assessments

Once your skill tracks are connected, staff can begin performing skill assessments in class.

✅ You’re all set! By setting up skill tracks by program, you’ll keep your assessments organized and consistent across your classes.
